Every since I did the 8for30 challenge with My Fab Finance back in 2015, I’ve been in love with the capsule wardrobe concept.
I love how Caroline of Un-fancy.com shares her capsule wardrobe and daily outfits. The plan is to share here on the blog in a similar fashion. With so many transitions in my life lately I finally feel like I have the mental space to commit to the capsule wardrobe concept.
But I have a big fear.
My biggest fear is that I won’t be able to afford the quality clothing I most desire. As a student Financial Peace University I’m committed to getting out of debt. Which means I’ll have to be extra intentional about the pieces I include in my capsule. I need high quality, inexpensive items that can last for an entire season.
My goals will keep me focused.
I have three major goals 1. Discover my personal style. 2. Save money. 3. Reduce stress.
One of the most challenging aspects of being a public figure and a parent is looking the part of both. Finding a balance between my mom look and my work look is a priority.
All that’s left to do is get started.
So here’s the plan.
- First refresh background attire (i.e workout clothes, sleepwear, undies & bras)
- Second make a budget for a 37 piece capsule (aka search online for all items)
- Third buy my items
That’s it! I’m so nercited (nervous + excited) I could just burst into flames.
